Tear jerker Romney advert blames Obama for Bill’s BBQ closure [video]

The US Presidential Campaign turns to the grill as Mitt Romney blames Barack Obama for the closure of Bills BBQ in Richmond Virginia.

The advert lays the blame for Bill’s BBQ closure firmly at the feet of the Obama administration attempting to demonstrate the economic hardship that small business face with him occupying The White House.

The ad looks like it might misfire though, the business owner who narrates the advert is also reported to be a staunch Republican activist and further counter evidence alleges that the chain was in trouble before Barack Obama took office in 2008.

Comments on You Tube suggest that the business closed because nobody ate there any more,

WJ Weeks wrote, “Bill’s closed because nobody ate there. Sounds like free market forces to me. The owners did nothing to bring customers back. They are primarily and fundamentally responsible for their demise, not a failure to give them lower tax rates and corporate subsidies. Businesses fail everyday. Get over it and move along.”

useanmojo wrote ”Sorry for the mom and pop store not succeeding but BBQ business in Richmond is far from hurting…and it has been expanding recently. Maybe the lime-aid wasn’t enough to get people to drive to Bill’s because we sure drive to the other 50 BBQ joints in town. Bet you a lime aid it wasn’t The White House that caused its closure. bless that.”

So, is it market forces or Obama that is to blame?
