If you ever needed more proof, here it is. A 1999 McDonald’s in pristine condition has resurfaced after spending most of its life in a jacket pocket.
David Whipple from Utah originally purchased the McDonald’s burger in order to show friends how well it keeps its composition after one month. But then Whipple forgot about the burger for two years, and discovered it still maintained the same consistency. Whipple decided to hold onto the preservative-laden burger in order to prove his point further.
It ended up in a paper sack in the original sack with the receipt in my coat pocket tossed in the back of my truck and it sat there for, I don’t know, two or three months.
He said his coat ended up in the coat closet of his Logan, Utah, home.
The most disturbing thing about this 14 year old burger is that their is no sign of any mould of fungus which raises a very valid question.
If bacteria and fungi won’t eat it why do we?
