In the sixth leg of Ultimate Braai Master nine teams depart Matjiesfontein and travel to Cape St Francis, situated on the south-east coast of South Africa. The bay of this small coastal town is prone to good swell, which makes it a chukka fishing hotspot.
After enjoying a typical Calamari & Chips lunch, Justin reveals that the braai buddies will go out to sea to get their first taste of fishing for calamari. When they finally return after sunset, the real challenge begins: teams have to replicate the lunch they enjoyed earlier on the braai. After a long day of travelling and fishing, the teams who are now cold and tired, start to show some strain resulting in the three weakest teams facing the inevitable elimination challenge.
The next day, the three losing teams travel down-river to a secret location, where they have one hour to make veggie and beef burgers from scratch, and braai it perfectly for the remaining contestants and the judges. Even though spirits are high, one team’s epic road trip comes to an unfortunate end.
