Reuben Riffel chats to the “Daily Meal” about what’s hot in South African cuisine and he also shares the names of a couple of his favourite Cape Town restaurants.
When its comes to South African cuisine he is still searching for the ultimate South African dish but senses that people are returning to their roots with authentic recipes like bobotie, snoek (preferably on the braai) and our national sausage, boerewors.
His two restaurant recommendations are the World Top 100, “The Test Kitchen” and Mzoli’s in Gugulethu where you can find some traditional township fare.
