The cake pop, this innocent little ball of cake heaven was brought to America’s attention by the now famous blog, Bakerella. They have been spreading across the world and have taken up firm residence in South Africa.
They are not too difficult to make, providing you have patience and a steady hand if you want to bling them up a bit.
You can use pre-made cakes, icing and chocolate too, you don’t need to go the whole hog to make a cake pop.
The blending together of cake and icing into one little ball is a stroke of genius. After all what’s cake without icing?
