Hake Recipe with Paprika, Chorizo and Potatoes

A very easy and pretty quick Hake Recipe with Paprika, Chorizo and Potatoes for the whole family.

You will notice in the video that they are using cod, which is not a popular choice of fish in South Africa so we have naturally switched over to Hake.

This dinner is a no fuss recipe that will deliver a great tasting piece of fish which will simply need a lemon wedge to finish it off. The potatoes taste really good too having been cooked with the remnants of the chorizo oil.

Hake Recipe with Paprika, Chorizo and Potatoes | Waitrose

Serving: 3 | Prep: 5 min | Cooking: 20 min

Ingredients:

Hake Fillets 4
Chorizo 110 g
Paprika 1 teaspoon(s)
Potatoes 600 g
Sunflower Oil
Truffle Oil 15 ml
Method:

1 . Preheat the oven to 200°C
2 . Peel and dice the potatoes into 1 cm cubes
3 . Place the potatoes in a pot of water, bring to the boil and cook for 3 minutes.
4 . Drain the potatoes and set aside
5 . Heat some oil in a frying pan
6 . Fry the chorizo for 2 minutes or until crispy and golden
7 . Remove and set aside, leaving the oil in the pan
8 . Sprinkle the hake with paprika
9 . Place in the pan with the hot chorizo oil
10 . Cook for 1 minutes each way or until golden
11 . Transfer the hake to a roasting tray and cook in the oven for 10 minutes
12 . Heat a little oil in the frying pan
13 . Add the potatoes to the frying pan until crisp
14 . Add the chorizo and mix together
15 . Ready to serve.
