Living life on the edge as Rust n Dust, Greg Gilowey and Karl Tessendorf battle it out in another elimination challenge.
The two Cape Townians travelled the length and breadth of the country just to make it into the final 15 of Ultimate Braai Master.
They auditioned on the Wild Coast and in Cape Town before finally making the grade at the Sun City auditions.
Life hasn’t got any easier for Greg since he made it onto the show having been a losing team captain on the Orange River, didn’t impress his team leader enough to be selected for immunity in Lambert’s Bay and now found himself on the wrong team during the Table Bay Hotel challenge.
janie Smit’s non existent leadership at the braai end of the team challenge meant he had to face off against his fellow team mates,Who Dares Wins, Gal Power and Which Way Braai Chicks for survival.
Greg Gilowey survives another elimination challenge and takes another step towards filling his stick with as many notches as the show will allow.
The mash potato was a labour of love for braai buddy, Karl.
The teams headed to a Trout Hatchery where they were introduced to the world of trout and the various ways it could be prepared.
Smoking the fish was a big part of the challenge and the teams had to present the judges with three trout dishes of which one of them must be smoked.
Greg presented the judges with three dishes of which the honey and rooibos smoked trout with mash and fish skin crackling was the centre piece.
Marthinus loved the mash and Greg had his Braai Buddy Karl to thank for that as he really treated it as a labour of love, so much so that at one point Greg had to ask him to stop mashing.
Justin Bonello said, “you can add another notch to your stick, today you were the star performers.”
