Chef Tjaart hands out some pointers for removing the wishbone from the chicken before he gets to work on his Orange & Soy Roast Chicken Recipe.
Roast Chicken Recipe with Orange & Soy | Chef Tjaart Walraven
Serving: 4-6 | Prep: 10 min | Cooking: 60 min
Ingredients:
Chicken | 1 | ||
Oranges | 2 | zested & juiced | |
Sugar | 2 | tablespoons | |
Soy Sauce | 2 | tabllespoons | |
Cloves | 2 | ||
Chicken Stock Pot | 1 |
Method:
1 . Preheat oven to 200°C
2 . Mix together the chicken stock pot, soy sauce, sugar orange zest and the orange juice
3 . Brush the juice onto the chicken and in the cavity
4 . Stuff the orange peels into the cavity
5 . Into the oven at 180°C (rduce heat) for 45-60 minutes depending on the size of your chicken
6 . To check if its ready poke a skewer in between the leg and the breast, if the juices ru nclear its ready.
7 . Allow to rest for 15-20 minutes before serving
