The second semi final is about to take place as Sue Green and Anel Potgeiter fight it out in the Dinner Diva’s kitchen.
Both of these bloggers have shown that they have a unique voice that is represented in the food that they create.
They are tasked with preparing family feasts for their semi final heat.
Anel has an “Indian feast for friends” lined up which she describes as La vita è bella – Life is beautiful
There is nothing better in our busy world than to sit amongst friends at a dinner feast and celebrate and share our love for each other – a few uninterrupted hours – cook together, set the table and taste the exciting, colourful, beautiful food and flavours. With no order of courses – we nibble, eat, enjoy, be happy, be content and thankful for friendships and the blessings we often forget to count. Indian cuisine and my blog is a festival of flavours, vibrancy, colours and tastes – to be shared, celebrated and savoured in this slow manner with friends. Please enjoy the food at my table.

Sue Green on the other hand is putting up her own stern challenge with her “Family get together”
I don’t believe a celebratory meal has to cost you an arm and a leg. Of course the food is important, but I think it’s the people that make a meal special…..that and some vino! The Pavlova is a particular favourite with my lot and no family meal is complete without the inevitable squabble between my-so-called adult kids for the last piece! Gotta love family.
The Menu
Cold Vichyssoise Soup with Salmon and Cucumber Jellies
Balsamic Chicken
Crunchy Green Salad with Chickpea Croutons
Vinaigrette Dressing
Cheese Damper
Strawberry Rolled Pavlova
Watch Sue Green in the elimination rounds going up against Tami Magnin.
The judges who will be doing the scoring this week are Leila Padayachi, Fernando Roman and Caro de Waal.
