Original Italian Panna Cotta Recipe

This is a basic Panna Cotta Recipe, from here you add any variety of sauces, fruit or garnish to the plate.

If you do not have moulds you can serve your Panna Cotta in small coffee cups or glasses.

Basic Panna Cotta Recipe | Giallo Zafferano

Serving: 4 | Prep: 4 hours | Cooking: 15 min

Gelatin Sheets 3 sheets
Double Thick Cream 500 ml
Caster Sugar 150 g
Vanilla Pod 1

For the Panna Cotta
1 . Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water until they have softened
2 . Score the vanilla pods with a knife
3 . In a sauce pan heat up the cream, sugar and vanilla pod
4 . Bring to a simmer and once the sugar has dissolved remove from heat and remove the vanilla pod
5 . Squeeze the gelatin and add to the mixture on low heat until the gelatin has dissolved
6 . Stir well.
7 . Pour into the moulds and transfer to the fridge for 4 hours

1 Turn the Panna Cotta out of the moulds
2 . Garnish as you wish.
