Gordon Ramsay shares his bolognese sauce recipe, perfect for Spaghetti Bolognese or an oven baked Lasagne.
This is not a slow cooking recipes that will take in excess of an hour but quick and easy, 20 minutes max!
Ramsay likes to grate the onion and the carrot as it makes them cook faster and follows the traditional Italian method of adding a little milk towards the end of cooking.
Instructions for the spaghetti are not included, follow packet instructions… 12 minutes max, pasta is best served al dente, “too the tooth”.

1 . Grate the onion and grate the carrot
2 . Heat up some olive oil in a casserole pan
3 . Sauté the onions and carrots, sweat and soften don’t brown them
4 . Season with a little salt
5 . Add the crushed garlic
6 . Sprinkle in the oregano
7 . Cook for 1-2 minutes, sweating the veg not browning it
8 . Make a well in the middle and drop in the mince meat
9 . Brown the mince quickly so that it does not go grey
10 . Make a well in the middle and drop in the tomato paste
11 . Sweat the tomato paste and fold in
12 . Pour in the red wine and reduce
13 . Add the chopped tomatoes
14 . Add a dash of Worcestershire Sauce
15 . Simmer for 5-6 minutes
16 . When its nearly ready add a couple tablespoons of milk
