Chocolate Brownie Recipe

This is for all the chocolate addicts out there and I know that there are a lot of you. Stephanie Jaworski from Joy of Baking wows us once again with her talents and this very easy to make Chocolate Brownie recipe.

As we say over and over again this is not a rule book, just a guide so go to town with adding other ingredients to the base recipe and see what you come up with. The brownie has taken a bit of a beating over recent years with the cupcake and now the cake pop dominating the sweet snacking scene.

Chocolate Brownie Recipe | Stephanie Jaworski

Serving: 16 | Prep: 15 min | Cooking: 25 min

Ingredients:
Unsweetened Chocolate 120 g
Unsalted Butter 115 g
Caster Sugar 200 g
Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
Large Eggs 2
Flour 100 g
Salt .25 teaspoon
For the Ganache
Semi Sweet Chocolate 90 g
Double Thick Cream 80 ml
Unsalted Butter 15 g

Chocolate-Brownies

Method:

For the Brownies
1 . Preheat the oven to 165°C
2 . Grease up a 20cm baking pan
3 . Melt the chocolate & butter in a bowl over simmering water
4 . Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar
5 . Add the vanilla extract
6 . Beat in the eggs one at a time
7 . Add the flour and salt
8 . Stir well
9 . Pour into the pan
10 . Bake for 25 minutes

For the Ganache
1 . Melt the chocolate, cream & butter in a bowl over simmering water
2 . Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature
3 . Spread the ganache over the brownies
